Baseball moves closer to Olympic return
OTTAWA-The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Organizing Committee announced earlier today that baseball/softball is one of five sports proposed to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for inclusion in the 2020 games. The other sports that will be considered for inclusion are Karate, Surfing, Skateboard and Sports Climbing representing a total of 18 events.
Baseball Canada announces Fall Instructional League Roster
OTTAWA- Baseball Canada announced today the names of 30 players that have been invited to the Junior National Team’s (U-18) annual Fall Instructional League Camp in Lake Buena Vista, Florida from October 2nd to 10th.
Prairies win third edition of Tournament 12
TORONTO- Zack Demchenko fired seven scoreless innings and struck out eight batters to lead his Prairies squad to a 1-0 victory over Québec and the Tournament 12 championship this morning at Rogers Centre.
Dartmouth takes gold at 13U National Atlantic Championship!
OTTAWA – Baseball Canada’s last National Championship of the season came to a close on Sunday as Dartmouth defeated the host Yarmouth to earn gold. Last year’s National Champions Summerside won bronze with their win over Mount Pearl.
13U National Atlantic: Saturday comes to a close
OTTAWA – Four more round-robin games were played Saturday afternoon and evening. The standings are just about set for Sunday’s medal round with only two match-ups to settle before semi-finals. Teams spent the day battling hard to give themselves the best possible chance at a medal.
13U National Atlantic: Competition resumes after rain delays on Friday
OTTAWA – Some of Atlantic Canada’s most talented young baseball players took the field in Yarmouth, NS on Friday and Saturday for Baseball Canada’s 13U National Atlantic Championship. The two first match-ups of the tournament were played on Friday, but the rest of the day’s competition was postponed until Saturday due to rain.

In memory of Michelle McRae (1969-2015)
Baseball Canada is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Michelle McRae, wife of Canisius College Baseball Head Coach, Mike McRae. Mike has also been a coach with Baseball Canada’s National Team program in the past.
